Graphic designer and scenographer Čestmír Pechr (1926 - 1999) had for 30 years actively shaped the look and design of Slovak National Theatre. His primary medium was the theartical poster. The author of the play Windmill (Mlyn 1963) was Zdeněk Mahler, a Czech musicologist, who sharply criticized the Soviet Union after 1968 and was an active participant in the Velvet Revolution.
